Synopsis
No Touchy aims to provide full computer interaction via speech recognition.
It’s intended as an accessibility device.

Background
In the last few years several general-purpose speech recognition accessibility apps have been developed:

- (2019) “Voice Driven Development: Who needs a keyboard anyway?” by Emily Shea (the aforementioned talk)
- (2020) “Coding by voice in Zig - Rickard Andersson”
- (2021) “RubyConf 2021 - Hello, computer. Writing Ruby with voice recognition by Nat Budin”
- (2022) “A Fresh Approach to Open Source Voice Assistant Development, Samuel Omlin, JuliaCon 2022”
- (2023) “numen demo”
Basically, the idea is:
- full keyboard access using lower-level commands
- support for higher-level commands, app-specific commands
- flexible user-customization
No Touchy is yet another implementation of this approach.
